Challa Prasad

Born in 1976, into a family of farmers in a small village called Donakonda, Andhra Pradesh. After finishing his education, he joined GDC company as his father advised. His role was of a labour contractor, which he continued in various companies afterwards like L&T, JMC, ERA Construction, IVRCL, Gammon India, ESSAR, and Reliance. During his visits to various states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Karnataka he came face to face with the plight of farmers and the unemployment issue faced by the youth in India. In the year 2009 he decided to start a company to unite all the contractors in and around his hometown and end the job crises for both the framers who had resorted to taking their lives and the youth leaving their hometowns and villages for cities in search of work. After three years, in the year 2011, he was able to successfully register the company “Challa Group” also known as C-Group. He had investors and VVIP visitors from countries like the USA, UK, Germany, and many more visit the 10,000 acres of land allotted for the industrial park in Donakonda.

Now in the year 2024, he has successfully signed multiple agreements and MOUs with the heads of various states in India to Establish, Maintain, and run SEZs (Special Economic Zones) in their specifically approved and allotted government land. These IT hubs will also include eco-partnerships with various industries like “Mom & Dad stores”, local farmers, and Small & Medium businesses. With offices all around the world including Dubai, Zambia, and Malaysia, Challa Group under the leadership of Challa Prasad is foraying into new sectors such as Information Technology, Waste Management, Agri-Development, and Water Sustainability Projects.

In his own words, he says “I’ve been inspired by farmers to strive for excellence to yield the best”. Hence the company motto “Committed to Excellence” is apt for both the leader and the company.
